21st Century Learning Experience

Have you ever questioned what the qualities of education in the 21st century are? In a technology - integrated world where children are born with technology in their pockets rather than silvers in their mouth, It is hard to stop thinking about them.

A few weeks ago our educational technologies teacher got us thinking about 21st century learning. When I searched the internet on again the internet, I found that it is said to have begun approximately 50 years ago in the cold war to help soldiers communicate with each other easily and figured that it has contributed to globalisation and made communication easy for not only soldiers but also people all around the world. And today internet turns it all around. Thus expectations from students and teachers have changed a lot. In 21st century the question of what kind of properties students and teachers should have has been the focus of experts in the field. Students are not to memorize everything in the books anymore because information is the most available thing ever. Rather, they are supposed to think critically, work collaboratively to reach the goal, reflect on their work and correct their mistakes by themselves, be aware of the people in other countries and manage media skills efficiently and effectively. Likely, teachers aren't only lecturers anymore they let students be aware of their interests and guide them through their way to provide 21st century needs.

At last as a part of 21st century, students are to prepare portfolios on their own thus raising the accountability in the classroom. To give you an idea I will put a picture of the wordclouds we prepared in the class below. If this subject draws your attention, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am wondering about your opinions. Let's meet in the comments section.
